About The Gear Closet has been Chattanooga’s destination for used outdoor gear since 2012 and is run by Chattanooga-based non-profit Waterways. Waterways is a Chattanooga, Tennessee based non-profit working with communities across the Southeastern United States to bring awareness and stewardship to their watersheds. Since 2004, Waterways has been empowering individuals to take positive action in their watersheds and working with the community to restore watersheds and empower individuals to take action on a local scale. Waterways is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization. Income from The Gear Closet, directly supports their mission.
